My Novel
Well, I sent out my novel in October, and I have gotten word back.
They are willing to publish my book.
Does anyone have a spare $20,000 to help me publish?
I didn't think so.

That is what would be called a Vanity Press probably. There is a difference between self publishing and vanity presses and I think for that amount it would be a vanity press. Have you checked out http://www.comstar-media.com/

Iuniverse is self publishing, but I have seen some of the works and they aren't bad. Barnes & Noble owns them. I found the other one awhile ago and don't know a lot about it, but it looks interesting at least.
Oh yeah, the key for getting a book into a Barnes and Noble or Borders for Self published is having an ISBN. No ISBN and they can't usually carry it.
