Drawing Class Start

I see it has been a while since I have written here, so I thought I better again. After I took my perspective class, I took a drawing class.

A lot of what the drawing class worked on came from the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. I have talked about that already, much earlier in this blog.

It was very interesting going from the very straight edge oriented Perspective class to the completely free handed drawing class. It was tough getting started without a straight edge.

The class started out with still lifes. I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of drawing the still life. I like drawing living things, but it's still a skill that I need to know. Here are the first three I did for the drawing class.

The first two are pretty basic - pencil box, kleenex box, and soda can - A&W Root beer, I think.

The last one is a little more detailed.
